Over a thousand well-wishers turned out at Sandringham this morning to wish the Queen a merry Christmas as she and Prince Philip celebrate the day without the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge or Prince Harry.
The Queen, who has been recovering from a cold, was well enough to attended morning service at st Mary Magdalene church where she was greeted by adoring crowds.
