Prince William and Kate Attend Opening Paralympics

It will take more than a few torch delays and downpours to stop the royal family showing their sporting support.

Just over two weeks after the world class closing ceremony of the 2012 Olympics, Queen Elizabeth and her family took their places back in East London's Olympic arena to celebrate the opening of the 14th Paralympic Games.

And the Duchess of Cambridge was supporting tonight in winning style in a designer coat dress covered with golden thread.

Kate looked elegant in a recycled coat dress by DAY Birger et Mikkelsen featuring gold embroidery, which she teamed with her favourite nude £185 LK Bennett heels and a sparkling clutch.

Prince Harry Will Join Wills and Kate as They Cheer on the Paralympians

Harry will join Prince William and Kate to watch Paralympians going for gold, determined not to let the Las Vegas hotel pictures distract the public’s attention from the inspiring performances in the Olympic Park.

He is unable to join the Queen and his brother and sister-in-law for tomorrow’s opening ceremony, but relishes playing a key role as an ambassador to the London Games.

Prince Philip Released From Hospital

Britain's Prince Philip leaves Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen, Scotland Monday Aug. 20, 2012 after five days of treatment for a bladder infection. The 91-year-old husband of Queen Elizabeth II was hospitalized Wednesday with a recurrence of an infection he suffered earlier this summer. Buckingham Palace said Philip was discharged from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in northeast Scotland was returning to the nearby Balmoral estate, where the royal family is on vacation. AP Photo

Prince William Rescues Young Girl

A girl aged 16 was rescued by Prince William after being swept out to sea trying to save her sister. Rescuers said her sister, aged 13, had been swept away on a riptide while body-boarding and the girl had swam out to help her.

 But she got into difficulties as she became exhausted and was close to drowning when she was winched to safety by an RAF rescue helicopter captained by Prince William.

Prince Harry and Kate Bid The Olympics Farewell

Kate Takes in Olympic Boxing For Women!!


The Duchess of Cambridge watched as Olympics history was made today as she had a ringside seat for the first final of the women's boxing.

And Kate couldn't conceal her delight that the first female champion was from Great Britain as Nicola Adams won the gold medal at the ExCel centre. Adams overwhelmed China's double world champion Ren Cancan 16-7 in the women's flyweight division.

Kate sat with MP Nick Clegg, rower Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Timothy Lawrence and Princess Anne to cheer the boxer from Leeds to victory. Read Full Post From DAILYMAIL

Kate Watches Women's Hockey Team Lose Chance at Gold

Kate is Out and About at Olympics, Catching Three Events!

In attending her third event of the day, the 800m freestyle where she cheered Becky Adlington on to her second bronze medal of the Games, Kate had swapped her casual Team GB attire for a polka dot top underneath a smart and sharp red blazer.
